COVID-19 HEALTH MEASURES !
In response to the health crisis linked to COVID-19, LTR applies the recommendations issued by the authorities:
- Hydroalcoholic gel dispensers are available in the common areas as well as in the rooms
- On request, we provide you with masks
- All contact points (handles, ramps, tables, etc.) are regularly treated with a bactericidal product
- The house is aired several times a day
- The configuration of the tables for breakfast allows to maintain an appropriate physical distancing
In order to preserve the serenity of everyone and also to respect the flora and fauna of our park, we unfortunately cannot accept pets.
Are pets allowed at LTR?
Is there an elevator to access the rooms?
The house dates from 1881/1922 and its configuration did not allow the installation of an elevator. The upstairs floors are accessible by a wide staircase (20 steps to the 1st floor and 38 steps in total to get to the 2nd floor).
Can I choose the exact room I want to stay in?
During the high season (mid-June to mid-September), attributing a particular room within the reserved category is complicated. During the mid and low season, we will consider your request, however without guarantee.
Is there a room key?
Yes, each room has its own key.
Is there a safe in the bedroom?
Each room is equipped with a safe (interior dimensions h x w x d: 16 x 33 x 31 cm) that you secure with a personal digital code.
LTR declines all responsibility in the event of theft. If you are concerned about your values, speak to us so that we may find an adequate solution.
Is there air conditioning in the rooms?
We have chosen not to install air conditioning in the house. The temperature in the summer and in the winter is regulated by a reversible heat pump to maintain an always pleasant and constant temperature inside. The house is fully insulated. Its stone walls and the window shutters are also great sustainable protections to keep the heat outside.
Why is LTR not suitable for young children?
The house is built on a steep rocky field, surrounded by high walls with a remnant of old unprotected terraces. Overall the very rugged configuration of the site does not allow us to serenely welcome young children.
What are the spaces accessible for everyone in the house?
In addition to your room on the first floor you have shared access to the beverage corner offering water, coffee or tea. On the ground floor the library, the living room, the dining room or the veranda are available for you to rest, read, discuss and meet others. On sunny days, you can also profit from several pleasant corners around the house.
How many people can the wellness area accommodate?
Each equipment (jacuzzi, hammam, sauna) can accommodate 2 people at a time, but the wellness area is comfortable enough to accommodate up to 4 people (all from the same group) taking turns in using the equipment. See rates here
Is smoking allowed at LTR?
The house is completely NON-SMOKING including at the windows, on the balconies, in the terraces or at the pergola.
However, on request, we lend you an ashtray and guide you to a designated smoking area outside the house.
What is the check-in time?
For your arrival, we welcome you between 4:00pm and 6:30pm. For an arrival outside of this time, please let us know 24 hours in advance so that we may organize ourselves. For everyone's tranquillity, we do not accept arrivals after 9:30pm.
What is the check-out time?
The room must be vacated before 11am. Subject to availability, you may keep the room longer.
For the serenity of all, a quick inspection of the room is made at the time of your departure.
How often is the room cleaned?
The room is visited and cleaned daily. We change sheets every 5 days and towels every 3 days.
Do you offer laundry and ironing service?
LTR can take care of the washing and ironing of your clothes. For this service, we provide you with a laundry bag with a capacity of 3kg for washing at 40°. You will receive your clothes dried and folded within 24 hours.

Can one encounter animals in the park or in the house?
Yes, besides our dog Olia, you will be able to observe a multitude of birds, squirrels and, possibly, deer. There can also be mosquitoes (especially the tiger mosquito), spiders and, very rarely, (harmless) grass snakes, which are a protected species because they are very useful against pests.
Can we walk in the park?
Yes, of course, but a big part of the park is a wild garden and therefore we ask you to be vigilant to avoid falling and we strongly advise you to wear suitable shoes (no smooth soles!).
The swimming pool is in the park and easily accessible. For safety reasons, it is forbidden to walk in the park during strong winds (falling branches possible).
Is there a car parking?
LTR has an outdoor parking lot with eight spaces within the grounds of the park. Access is controlled and under video surveillance. However, we decline all responsibility in the event of a problem.

What are breakfast times?
Breakfast is served at the table between 8:00am and 10.30am. You have the choice between an express service or the LTR breakfast. See prices here. In the event of an early morning departure, we can prepare a takeaway breakfast for you.
Can I have a special breakfast in case of food allergy or intolerance?
Yes, we can adapt the breakfast according to your food allergy or intolerance. Please let us know prior to your arrival.
Why do we need to present an ID on arrival?
Staying at LTR means you reside in our own home even when we are away. Presenting an identity document is for us a sign of mutual trust that we want to establish with our guests. Your document number will be recorded for room rental purposes only.
Can we use the swimming pool on the day of departure?
Yes, on sunny days, even after having vacated the room, you can enjoy the swimming pool. An outdoor shower is at your disposal near the pool, as well as a pool house for changing.
Why are your prices including VAT?
LTR is a company and hence subject to 10% VAT on all our products and services.
What are the means of payment for the stay?
We accept bank transfers or cash. We are currently working on setting up credit card acceptance (last updated in February 2022).
Can I charge my electric vehicle ?

Is there a LTR chart?
Out of courtesy and respect, some rules are evident, in particular:
* for everyone's peace of mind, keep the sound volume low, especially in the evening, at night and in the early morning :-)
* pay attention to antique furniture in the bedrooms and reception rooms so that you and the following guests
can enjoy them in the best conditions :-)
* please note that the kitchen is strictly private
* we kindly ask you to refrain from having meals in the rooms :-)
* let us know your special needs or remarks so that we can take them into account without delay :-)
Can we have meals in the room?
For reasons of hygiene and furniture preservation, in-room dining is not permitted. Within less than a 10-minute walk, you will find a wide choice of restaurants in Sarlat for all tastes and budgets. Discover our favourite gourmet spots, we are happy to help with your reservations!
Do you have a good 4G network?
The city of Sarlat has good 4G coverage and 5G is also being installed. The best operators are: Orange, SFR, Bouygues and Free.
Do you have a good Wi-Fi in the house ?
The house has wifi in vdsl with a repeater at each level. The deployment of fibre optics in Sarlat is planned for the 3rd quarter of 2022. Until then, we admit that speed is not always there!
Is LTR a quiet place to be?
The insulation and soundproofing of the house were completely reviewed during the renovation (floors, walls, doors and windows) in order to reduce noise as much as possible. That said, being an old house, you might hear an eventual creak here and there.
In addition, due to the fact that we are in the city, traffic noise is audible outside in the park and sometimes noticeable inside.
Do you serve meals?
Other than breakfast, LTR does not serve other meals and the kitchen is not accessible to prepare your own meal. On the other hand, there is a wide choice of restaurants in Sarlat (less than 10 minutes walk from LTR) and its surroundings.
Why do we have to pay a tourist tax?
The tourist tax is a French tax which aims to help finance expenses related to tourist attendance and the protection of natural areas for holidaymakers. It is paid per person according to the number of nights and the category of accommodation. In 2022, the tourist tax in Sarlat for bed & breakfasts is set at 0.80 € / night / pers.
What is the beverage corner in the first floor?
During your stay you have access to the shared beverage corner. You will find complimentary coffee, teas, herbal teas and bottles of still and sparkling water. For the tranquillity of all and in particular of the adjoining rooms, a peaceful use of the beverage corner is requested by avoiding using it early in the morning and late in the evening.
Can we come to LTR by train and not have a car?
Yes, there are daily about 5 trains between Bordeaux-Sarlat and the train station is a 6-min walk from LTR. If you are looking to rest at LTR with only visits and meals in Sarlat, no car is necessary! On site, we also rent electric bikes which allow sports enthusiasts to discover the surrounding tourist sites. See prices here :-)
The second nearest train station is Souillac, a 30-min drive from LTR. A taxi transfer is required and we can book this for you. See prices here
Can you keep our suitcases after leaving the room?
Yes, we can store your luggage without any problem until your final departure.
